02The idea

Platzhalter carbon

More than a car.

The M4 CS is the most focused version of the F82 generation: less weight, more power, carbon wherever you look. BAVARIAN JET documents what this car becomes. Every part, every dyno session, every idea for the next step.

M Performance carbon rear wing

The exposed-carbon rear wing is the defining detail of the project: more downforce over the rear axle and a silhouette you recognise instantly.

Carbon bonnet

CFRP from the factory. Light, stiff and with visible weave.

Carbon roof

The CFRP roof saves weight where it matters most: at the very top.

Charge-air cooler

Indirect charge cooling: a water-cooled charge-air cooler sits right on top of the engine. Short paths for the compressed air make for crisp response.

Luft/Wasser

Cylinder head cover

Seals the valvetrain from above and carries the ignition coils for all six cylinders.

6 Zündspulen

Camshafts & VANOS

Two overhead camshafts. Double VANOS varies the valve timing continuously while Valvetronic varies intake valve lift.

DOHC · 24 Ventile

Cylinder head

Home to the valves, injectors and spark plugs. Direct injection delivers fuel precisely into the combustion chamber.

Direkteinspritzung

Pistons & con rods

Six 84 mm pistons transfer combustion pressure through the con rods to the crankshaft.

Ø 84,0 mm

Crankcase

Closed-deck aluminium construction for high stiffness. The cylinder bores are thermally spray-coated instead of using liners.

Closed-Deck

Turbochargers

Two mono-scroll turbochargers, each fed by three cylinders. Short exhaust paths build boost quickly.

2 × Mono-Scroll

Crankshaft

Forged and weight-optimised. 89.6 mm stroke and a 7,600 rpm limit.

Hub 89,6 mm

Oil sump

The oil supply is designed for high lateral forces, keeping lubrication stable even in fast corners on track.
